Wisconsin’s Door County is a top vacation destination for nature lovers in the Midwest, providing 300 miles of shoreline along Lake Michigan with 11 lighthouses, five state parks and 19 county parks. Another annual event, the self-guided pottery studio tour and sale happens each year when Door County potters open their doors to the public for a celebratory summer sale May 5–6.
Blessing of the Fleet Festival
May 19–20 are filled with activities when you visit Baileys Harbor. Enjoy an arts and crafts fair, farmer’s market, Scottie Dog Rally, music, food and, of course, the blessing of the fleet ceremony.
May 25–28, enjoy tours, water activities, hikes and lectures all aimed at teaching visitors about Door County’s great outdoors.
May 27–28, the Jacksonport Maifest kicks off the summertime festivals in the region, with lots of activities, including a 10K, music, horse pull and art fair.
