Tips / Travel

Going on a spending spree you probably can’t really afford is one of traveling’s greatest pleasures. You can help mitigate costs by only buying things you can’t really get cheaply back home.

Hair Products

Asian culture has the hair game down pat, and that probably has something to do with the fact hair products don’t cost much over there. They’re also longer lasting in some cases. The next time you’re traveling through Thailand make sure to stop in the hair care aisle at the local market.

Clothes

Depending on where you’re traveling, you might be able to find clothing that seems like a steal. Certain countries are able to produce t-shirts, jeans and dresses at little cost, which means you get to feel less guilty about maxing out your credit card.

Soaps

Bathing is essential and some cultures have it down to an art. Check the local soaps and shampoos when traveling to see if you can snag a deal. A lot of foreigners would balk at the idea of paying $6 for a bottle of conditioner like we easily do.

Toiletries

Aside from soaps you can also score some really great things like hair and tooth brushes overseas. Since they’re considered essentials a lot of countries don’t charge an arm and a leg for them.
