Visiting a flea market can feel like searching for buried treasure. From finding a unique antique to bargaining with a vendor over an item, the entire experience can be exciting. Check out our list of flea markets worth the trip.

Brimfield Antique Flea Market

Located in Brimfield, Mass., the flea market is open three times each year (May, July and September) for a period of six days at a time. Times and dates vary year to year. You’ll find a wide variety of items from apparel to home goods.

Brooklyn Flea

While Brooklyn is in the name, the popular flea market expanded beyond its Brooklyn location to offer a second spot for shoppers in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. The flea market is open Saturdays and Sundays, April–October.

Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen

Paris’ famous flea market is organized into 14 markets, selling antiques and handmade items. It is open Saturday, Sunday and Monday. There are many nearby cafes and other food options for when you need a break from shopping.

Portobello Road Flea Market

While it’s also open Monday–Friday, Saturday is the real day to go with all 2,000-plus stalls open. Vendors at the London market sell everything from vintage clothing to fresh fruit.

Rose Bowl Flea Market

This monthly flea market is held at the famous Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif. Held the second Sunday of every month, the flea market charges a $9 entrance fee for regular admission. More than 2,500 vendors sell their goods each month. Held rain or shine.
