Visit Cape Lookout National Seashore, a 56-mile stretch of preserved barrier islands for hiking and wildlife-viewing opportunities. The park is also a certified International Dark Sky Park, if stargazing is on your agenda. Emerald Isle Woods Park offers many hiking trails across its 41 acres.
Water Enthusiasts
The Crystal Coast boasts 85 miles of uninterrupted shoreline. There are more than 20 kayak and paddleboard trails for all skill levels. More than 2,000 vessels met their demise along the Crystal Coast, making it a “wreck diver’s dream.” If fishing is more your speed, book an excursion with Cape Lookout Charters or Crystal Coast Fishing Charters.
