Antoni Gaudí i Cornet was a Catalonian modernist architect who had a profound influence on the buildings of Barcelona in Spain’s northeast. His works were inspired by his passion for life, nature and religion. Strolling around the beautiful streets of Barcelona, you will spot many buildings either inspired by or designed by Gaudí. From the glorious Park Güell to his as-yet completed cathedral, La Sagrada Família. Many are tourist attractions and museums, but there are a few luxury residential gems in Barcelona too. Most notably, La Pedrera.

La Pedrera was designed by Gaudí and erected from 1906 to 1912. Located on Passeig de Grácia, this iconic building was owned by Roser Segimon and Pere Milà who lived there for many years. It is now one of Barcelona’s most distinguished buildings and a major tourist attraction. It is also no longer a residential building. In fact, none of Gaudí’s works are residential anymore; they are all preserved for tourism by the tourism and culture board of Barcelona.

But if you’re looking to experience some Gaudí-inspired luxury in the magical city, it’s not hard to come by. The works of the modernist have inspired the design of many apartments in Barcelona. And many are lucky enough to have a view of some of Gaudí’s original works. Take, for example, the stretch of apartments opposite La Sagrada Família. Each one has a view of the amazing cathedral with an interior that reflects the works of Gaudí. The façade also pays homage to the beautiful La Pedrera.

Such beautiful apartments don’t come cheap though. Barcelona is a thriving city, and an apartment such as those beside La Sagrada Família will cost anywhere from 130, about $145, per night on Airbnb.
