In the hyper-connected world of today, not being able to get online can be a major annoyance. Whether you just want to stay in touch with friends and family or you need to send some work from the road, an internet connection is a modern necessity. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to get a good signal in some parts of the world.
The GeeFi aims to change all that. When you buy a GeeFi device, which looks like a small smartphone, you will be able to take the internet with you wherever you are.
Simply switch on the GeeFi and it will lock onto the nearest network signal. You can connect up to 10 devices at once, and enjoy unlimited data once you have bought a GeePass.
One GeePass costs $10 and lasts for 24 hours. The device currently works in more than 100 countries around the world, and more are reportedly on their way.
The devices are set to ship in December following a successful Kickstarter campaign, during which they sold for $120. They can also double as a battery pack to charge any USB device.
At $10 per day, this could be a decent price for a good internet connection in some parts of the world. It’s unlikely you will want to use it every day, as the costs would soon mount, but as an emergency option the GeeFi has its merits.
