The Global Scavenger Hunt is every traveler’s dream. Each year, 15 two-person teams travel to 10 different countries in four continents for 23 days. The fun part is, in each country, the teams participate in scavenger hunts to earn points that get totaled in the end. These scavenges might include photography, being a bartender or asking locals about local news. Teams cannot use any technology to help them and are only allowed to use public transportation to get around. The winners get crowned “The World’s Greatest Travelers.”
In past years, competitors traveled to Japan, Thailand, the UAE, Spain and England. For travelers looking for fast-paced adventure, this would be a fun way to see the world. The only drawback of this amazing race is the price. It is $12,500 per person or $25,000 a team. The price is steep, but it covers travel expenses, food and the challenges. The winner of the scavenger hunt is allowed to defend their title the following year for free.
Anyone around the world can participate as long as they have a team of two. The application is active on the website right now for the 2018 race, April 13–May 5. Apply and see if you can become “The World’s Greatest Traveler.”
