Exploring the Grand Canyon via water is an experience like no other. Hidden waterfalls and some side canyons are accessible only by river. Take a rafting tour to experience all of the scenic wonders the national park has to offer.
Western River Expeditions leads several tours, ranging from three to seven days. Take the tour as a family, in a group, solo or as a couple. Travel more than 100 miles on the river and experience the rapids, sandstone cliffs and wildlife.
O.A.R.S. offers more extensive tours, with some lasting up to 18 days. Experience the Grand Canyon via raft, dory (small rigid boat) or on foot. Rafting tours explore various areas of the river. Dories fit four people and handle both calm and rapid conditions with ease. Athletic adventure seekers, hike one of the many Grand Canyon trails.
Arizona River Runners has been operating tours since 1970. Motorized raft trips are the most popular. Oar-powered rafts and hiking tours are also available. June, July and August are the busiest months, with many families booking vacations during the summer.
Price, starting location and trip duration vary by company. To find the right tour for you, check out the various options.
