Freshly cut flowers are a welcome addition to any occasion or space. If you are looking for new combinations, putting together flowers and herbs is an easy way to change things up.

There are a couple of ways to go about this. You can use fresh flowers and fresh herbs. This is especially appealing if you have a garden to draw from. Herbs like basil, sage, mint and even oregano not only add green to your small bouquets, but they add a fragrance that can compliment the flowers, or create a fragrance that does not exist for some flowers.

Try combining daffodils, snow drops and mint for a spring bouquet. The great thing about these natural-looking designs is you can add Queen Anne’s Lace from your garden and various other flowers that might not be considered fancy enough, but within this context they find a place. If you don’t have a garden of your own, or are looking to make a large number of bouquets for wedding centerpieces, you might want buy a large number of herbs wholesale.

This is an easy way to save money on high-quality greens, expressly for these purposes. If you are working on a smaller scale, then this could be an opportunity to start that herb garden. If you find fresh flowers a little too inconvenient, you might want to opt for a dry bouquet. Combine sprigs of rosemary with dry lavender for a simple, but elegant combination of scents and aesthetics.
