Edgar Allen Poe House and Museum
Poe lived in this row home for about two years. The museum hosts Poe-themed events throughout the year. The museum is open to the public Thursday–Sunday and charges a $5 general admission fee.
Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine
The star-shaped coastal fort is known for its role in the War of 1812, defending Baltimore Harbor from the attacking British. It is also the inspiration for “The Star-Spangled Banner.” There are no fees for park entrance, though admission to the historic area is $10 for adults.
Located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the ship is the last all-sail warship built by the United States Navy. Hours vary by season. Adult admission for the USS Constellation plus one additional ship in the Inner Harbor costs $15.
Washington Monument and Mount Vernon Place
The monument sits in the urban square in downtown Baltimore. It was the first major monument to honor George Washington. The site is free and open to the public year-round.
