For friends who want to give their buddy a final send-off on a European island, there’s only one place to go: Mykonos. This Mediterranean island may be only 33 square miles in total, but it is dense with parties and excitement.
Daytime Beach Parties
Most of the public beaches on the island host lively daytime parties. A good place to start to get a few drinks is the waterfront club Nammos, where patrons will often dance on the tables.
Little Venice
One of the most popular places on the island is Little Venice. This tourist destination serves as the commercial hub of the area, with a number of shops, and it is the only place on the island where you can get American food. Its historic buildings have balconies where friends can gaze out at the Aegean Sea.
Delos
If you and your group are looking for a break from all the action, and want a nice place to unwind in the sun, the nearby island of Delos is where you should head. A quick ferry ride will bring you to this island where you can observe the preserved architecture of this ancient city-state.
Nightlife
Fuel up with a late night dinner at Sea Satin, a restaurant situated in an old island windmill. Then, try one of the dozens of nighttime dance venues like the Paradise Club. Here, groups can find a swimming pool and extraordinary fireworks. Don’t arrive too early; however, as the nightlife in Mykonos doesn’t start until after 2 a.m.
