Based on hashtags and location settings, Disneyland in California, was the most Instagrammed destination this past year. With more than 14 million Instagram tags, Disneyland was the clear winner.
With half the Instagram posts as Disneyland, the Eiffel Tower in Paris holds second place. The Eiffel Tower was Instagrammed and tagged more than 7 million times, standing between both U.S. Disney parks.
With more than 5 million tags, Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., was the third-most Instagrammed destination in 2017. The theme park is clearly a top destination for social media users and young travelers.
Just shy of 5 million tags, South Beach in Miami, Fla., was another highly popular destination in 2017. The picturesque white sandy beaches, clear blue skies and ocean views graced social media quite a bit last year.
The Berlin Wall in Germany holds a lot of history and culture, shared more than 4 million times last year.
