In April, I packed my bags and met some friends at Newark Liberty International Airport to depart on a TAP Air Portugal flight to Lisbon, Madeira and Porto, Portugal. The week was filled with all the stunning landscapes and history Portugal has to offer. At the end of the week, we closed out our trip, making our way to Francisco Śa Carneiro Airport in Porto for our journey home. We flew back into Newark, one of six TAP Air Portugal hubs in the United States, within proximity to New York City and Philadelphia.

My seat was in TAP’s Economy Plus section, meaning I had additional legroom compared to traditional economy. As we boarded the plane, we saw minor delays, which, thankfully, did not have an effect on our arrival time as we landed about 30 minutes earlier than expected.
As far as food, the flight included a meal and light snack, leaving me well fed. I went with the vegetarian ravioli, served with a small salad, dinner roll and bread pudding. The snack offering was a small sandwich with a piece of chocolate on the side. For in-flight entertainment options, there were current seasons of popular shows as well as a wide selection of movies. I watched some films and television series on a comfortably adjustable screen attached to the chair.

For this flight, I did not sleep as I was adjusting to the time zone at home; however, I was extremely comfortable and met with great service throughout the flight.
Flight attendants were fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and were extremely helpful and friendly toward myself and surrounding passengers,. After landing in Newark, I was happy with the accommodations provided by the airline and the service from employees.
