A beloved Florida attraction is back after two years of renovations and expansions.
Kissimee’s Old Town is set for a grand re-opening April 6, 2019. Offering a distinct contrast to the nearby Walt Disney World, Old Town offers more than 70 one-of-a-kind shops, themed restaurants, rides, musical acts, games and car cruises. The attraction has been around for more than 30 years and goes out of its way to present a classic Florida town.
The multi-year, multimillion dollar renovation means once Old Town reopens this winter, there will be more classic Americana to explore and discover.
“This refurbishment has solidified Old Town’s reputation as one of central Florida’s most popular ‘must-visit’ attractions,” said Brett Tollman, chief executive, The Travel Company. “We are excited that Old Town has embarked on a new era in its history and welcome both locals and tourists to rediscover its simple pleasures and classic American fun.”
“TTC’s commitment to restoring this iconic Orlando-area attraction is reinventing the Kissimmee landscape,” said Thearon Scurlock, vice president and general manager, Old Town. “We are dedicated to preserving and restoring a classic venue while giving locals and visitors an entirely new experience built on years of tradition.”
Old Town is open every day, 10 a.m.–11 p.m.
