The idea behind homeware brand Kouamo is to bring your taste for travel into your home.
By creating a range of travel-inspired textiles, homeware and wallpapers inspired by a specific destination, Kouamo encourages you to go traveling even in your own home.
Each season is designed by Kouamo founder Julie, inspired by a destination to which she has traveled recently. The third collection was recently subject to a successful Kickstarter campaign, which means the Indonesia-inspired designs will be shipped to backers by November 2016.
Other designs are available on the Kouamo website, including another collection inspired by Cuba. Bespoke designs are also available, with customers looking to tap into Julie’s design knowledge honed during her studies in Paris and London.
In a world of identikit homes straight out of the IKEA catalogue, it is refreshing to see something different you can use to decorate your home. While Kouamo released just two collections thus far, it has already collaborated with Swoon and Made.com on capsule collections.
The silk and velvet cushions will set you back $115 from the company website, which also serves as a useful portal for information about future plans. If you are fed up with the same old interior furnishings, recapture your individuality with Kouamo.
