LGBT: Anguilla

The Caribbean isn’t exactly known as a bastion of LGBT equality and tolerance, but Anguilla is one of the rare islands where being gay is completely legal. That’s because this little hamlet is a British territory and the laws against same-sex marriage here were repealed when the UK began allowing LGBT men and women to wed in 2001.

That said, there isn’t really much in the way of excitement to be had on Anguilla for either straight or gay folks. It’s known as one of, if not the, most relaxed island in the Caribbean and serves as a getaway destination for Hollywood elites looking to avoid the limelight.
