Tel Aviv, Israel’s gem of a city, is one of the world’s best travel destinations for the LGBT community. It boasts a year-long dazzling and vibrant nightlife scene in which you can embrace the cosmopolitan lifestyle of the gay-friendly community.
Join more than 100,000 people at Tel Aviv’s gay pride week ending on the June 4, consisting of a variety of events, shows and parties aimed at the LGBT community. The week culminates with Tel Aviv’s gay pride parade and more parties on Saturday. The whole week of festivities is part and parcel of the international observance of gay pride month.
The origins on the Pride Parade were quite different, however. The majority of the participants had political motivations, but as it grew in size, the notion that the Parade should be more LGBT focused grew, too. Since its inauguration, Tel Aviv has developed a huge reputation for a top gay-friendly destination and party city.
The parade in 2014 anticipated a turnout of 150,000 and caused a change in location for the after-parade party, from Gordon Beach to Charles Clore Park. With famous hosts, amazing performances and a great atmosphere, it’s unsurprising Tel Aviv is the summer destination for so many from around the world.
