Love Your Melon started as a project in a college entrepreneurship class. Two college students wanted to start a business with meaning and a positive social impact. The main goal was to improve the lives of all children battling cancer in America; they started by wanting to put a hat on each one of them. The project turned into reality and people started loving the product.

When they first started they would donate a beanie to a child battling cancer for each beanie bought. Since 2012 there have been more than 185,034 beanies donated to children in America. Once they reached their goal they decided it wasn’t enough and wanted to do more. Now they continue to donate 50 percent of the profits to pediatric cancer research in hopes of finding a cure.

All Love Your Melon hats are 100 percent cotton, which provides that warm and cozy feeling. The winter hats come in many different styles and a variety of colors. The most popular style is the beanie with a pom-pom on top. You can even get one with your favorite college teams logo. They also recently teamed up with Disney to produce a line of Frozen II beanies.

If you are more of a winter headband person, don’t worry — they offer those in a variety of colors as well.

Not only does Love Your Melon sell winter hats but they also offer baseball caps, mittens, clothing, blankets and more.
