Lufthansa tested out smart sleep masks recently, and you may soon see them on a flight of your own.

This is no ordinary sleep mask, though — this one claims it can cure jet lag, a helpful feature some travelers would pay big bucks for.

The Neuroon sleep mask is called the “first intelligent sleep mask” and, after downloading an app on your phone, it works to measure brain waves, temperature, REM cycles and your pulse to properly analyze your sleep quality.

Using the data it collects, the sleep mask can offer varying features. For example, it can increase your chances of experiencing lucid dreaming, if that’s what you’re after. It can also provide light therapy to help you wake up with a natural dawn simulation, so you feel more refreshed, alert and well rested in the mornings. You can also set the device to wake you up in other ways, such as with vibrations or certain tones.

After you wake up, your app will give you a “sleep score” and make recommendations to help you sleep better.

In addition to helping you sleep more soundly and wake up in a better overall mood, the Neuroon sleep mask also helps you learn to meditate with better results, using the same data on your pulse and brain waves.

When using Neuroon at home, rather than during flight, you can also hook it up to your other smart home devices, so they work together to adjust the lighting or temperature in your home, based on how well you’re sleeping on a particular night.

Sound too futuristic for now? Well, the device is still in its start-up phase, so you won’t be seeing them on store shelves soon, though you can pre-order your own for delivery in February. For now, though, you may just have to wait until Lufthansa hands them out to more lucky in-flight testers.
