If you’ve ever dreamed of traveling to the interior of Antarctica, here’s your chance. White Desert Antarctica is a luxury adventure provider, offering guests willing to throw down the cash the time of their lives in a place few people have seen. While many may explore the peripheral of the continent on cruises, few actually see the interior.

There are three different adventures to choose from when booking your trip.

The Emperors & South Pole Adventure is an eight-day itinerary that combines viewings of Emperor penguins with a flight to the lowest point on the planet, the geographic South Pole. Guests start in Cape Town, then fly to Antarctica, where they enjoy luxury sleeping pods and custom-made tents housing lounging and dining, provided by an award-winning chef. In addition to seeing the Emperor penguins in action, you can also choose from a variety of fun activities, from the most adrenaline pumping to the most relaxed.

The Mountain & Emperors Adventure is also an eight-day itinerary and takes guests into the mountains near the camp, and then to the penguin colony. You’ll see more than 6,000 penguins, all unafraid of humans and going about their business as they would normally, so guests enjoy a fully immersive experience.

The Greatest Day Adventure packs everything you could want to do and see in Antarctica into a single day. Unlike the other two tenting and pod options, guests on this adventure stay in chalets that feature a communal dining room, lounge, bar and a sauna. Most of the fantastic day is spent outdoors — trekking, exploring ice grottos, penguin viewing and visiting the Russian Science Base — but there is a small reprieve in the afternoon for a Champagne lunch.

White Desert has a zero impact policy. This means they choose to follow the environmental tourism guidelines provided by the Antarctic Treaty, and even take these standards a step further. All large amounts of energy needed are provided by either solar or wind power. All waste is transported out of Antarctica on regular flights where it’s taken to South Africa and disposed of properly. Additionally, the brand is a CarbonNeutral company, meaning they offset all the emissions associated with flights and other logistics through an array of carbon projects.
