The magnets are strong enough that it won’t fall off no matter how you hold it, but you can still conveniently detach the keyboard if you want to lose the bulk.
The case and keyboard weigh in at 2.5 ounces and adds only a quarter of an inch to your iPhone’s profile. Despite being so compact, the Magneti manages to provide a keyboard that has manageable keys and is comfortable to type, with a feel reminiscent of the Motorola Droid and the Blackberry.
