Marriott Properties in Costa Rica Offer Immersive Experiences

Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort and Costa Rica Marriott Hacienda Belen offer guests exciting immersive experiences for 2021. The pura vida (pure or simple life) lifestyle of Costa Rica is a significant part of its culture.

Both properties offer guests the Taste of Place experience. Guests take part in local coffee and chocolate pairings, and honey tastings from Costa Rica’s agricultural regions. The gift shops at both properties feature works from local artisans for purchase. In 2021, these artisans will host in-person workshops demonstrating their craft of creating jewelry, folk art, woodwork and other handcrafts.

“As we mapped out our on-property experiences for the new year, we wanted to bring the focus to the local culture and resources that surround both properties,” said Dennis Whitelaw, area general manager, Marriott, Costa Rica. “With the creation of our Taste of Place programming and additions to our retail stores, we hope to leave travelers enchanted with the destination and all it has to offer.”

Marriott values the health and safety of its guests. The properties adhere to Marriott’s Global Cleanliness Council’s standards of cleanliness. The in-person experiences follow social distancing measures and use of masks to ensure safety for participants. Guests also have the option to participate in these experiences virtually.
