Who knew origami could be used to create a canoe? MyCanoe is the latest artistic invention that makes paddling a lot more achievable for travelers who want to hit the river overseas.
Typical canoes are virtually impossible to fly with unless you enjoying paying exorbitant fees and have the means to lug it around while on the move. With MyCanoe, all you need is a few extra bags for a normal luggage fee and some ingenuity. Folded, it’s easy to fit in the trunk of your car or cart through the airport. When unfolded to full size it measures 14.5 feet and seats two paddlers. You can even adjust the seat locations into eight different spots. There’s also plenty of room for coolers, daypacks and camping gear.
MyCanoe is designed with marine-rated structures and materials and the single seam construction is so simple a child could put it together. The downside is it doesn’t come with paddles, though that’s typical with canoes. It does have an optional stabilizer kit for rough waters for those who like a little adventure.
MyCanoe retails for $1,290, on par with many traditional canoes. The perk of being able to tote it wherever you go makes it more than worth the price. Check it out on the website to learn more information on specs and shipping.
