Purchase flight, receive confirmation email, check in for flight, print boarding pass, etc. Booking and checking in for a flight involves so many steps, it’s no wonder people forget to pack certain items or arrive late for flights. When it comes to checking in for flights, choosing seats and paying for extra baggage, by the time you are ready to board, the airline knows everything about you except for your blood type. The engineers behind German airline Lufthansa developed a way for passengers to skip all of these monotonous tasks and instead, let the airline check in for you.

When travelers visit the website they create a free account and enter their personal information. From that point on, they can use their log-in information when booking future flights to send their flight confirmation information to AirlineCheckins with the click of a button. Once the information has been sent, AirlineCheckins automatically checks you in for your flight the moment that check-in becomes available (typically 24 to 48 hours before your flight). When you register with AirlineCheckins, you are able to enter your seat preference (window or aisle, front of the plane or back of the plane).

You will receive your preferred boarding pass (electronic or paper) to your email as well as your check-in details. If you have already booked a flight and would like to take advantage of the program, create a free account and forward your flight confirmation e-mail to the AirlineCheckins e-mail address to enroll in time for your next flight.

The AirlineCheckins service is currently available for more than 100 airlines worldwide
