The new terminal in San Francisco International Airport has been open for just over a year now with a modern and fresh extended space for United Airlines flights, a new United Club, a futuristic design and great new food options.
The best three things about it? Fast and free WiFi connection; comfy and plentiful chairs; and charging outlets everywhere.
These are all things airport terminals normally and annoyingly lack. The new terminal in SFO has all three. In three hours of working in the terminal, the 5G connection never once lagged. When I ran out of battery, there were outlets everywhere. One section looks like it was built like a library to suit students who come to work for hours on end. The seating options are made of cozy chairs that look like they’re from The Jetsons surrounding coffee tables and many couch-like ottomans where a few people were happily napping.
The food selection is newer and better, but don’t get too excited — it’s still on the more expensive end. Though, now at least you know you’re paying a lot for good food. Each concession stand is named creatively after a neighborhood in San Francisco. You have Dogpatch, Mission and Union Station concession stands with great food options as well as a wide array of beer, wine and liquor,
Until the rest of the airport catches up, I will most likely book United Airlines flights just so I can come to this terminal.
