Runners know sometimes the best time to enjoy the scenery is during a leisurely stroll. If you’re interested in exploring what New Zealand’s South Island has to offer, consider slipping on your running shoes and joining the New Zealand Trail Running Tour.
Amazing Running Tours offers this seven-day run during the month of March, one of New Zealand’s warmest and most beautiful times of the year. This run isn’t for the faint of heart. It begins in Picton and lasts more than 100 kilometers to the town of Motueka and includes moderate to challenging areas, so beginners are not encouraged to sign up.
During your run you’ll be provided transportation across the points where the ground won’t do, and you’ll have your own running guide to tell you all about all of the scenic views you’ll experience along the way.
You’ll pass famous landscapes like Tasman Bay, the Nelson Lakes National Park and the secluded Nydia Bay Trail. New Zealand is crawling with scenic hamlets, mountains and waterways unlike anything you’ve ever seen, and this unique opportunity will allow you to view them at a leisurely pace while also getting in some great exercise.
Group sizes are small, limited to between six and 14 people. You have the option of signing up as a solo runner or with friends, but you’ll never be alone and your guide will be with you every step of the way.
