Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

As the capital city of the Alps, Innsbruck, Austria, is an ideal destination for outdoor adventurers and winter lovers. Innsbruck, Tyrol, has been famously celebrated as a top winter-sport destination with two Winter Olympics under its belt and the newly completed Bergisel Ski Jump. The new jump provides unbeatable views of the wintery town below from atop the historic Bergisel Hill.

By day, visitors ski and snowboard for miles, explore historic sites, modern architecture and tour incredible museums, but by night, expect this quaint ski town to come to life.

Head to local karaoke bar Zappa Music Bar nestled along the Inn River for cocktails and music. Have a few drinks and sing a few songs in a laidback setting — complete with an old-rock vibe.

Austria is a brew-lovers haven and few locations beat the low-key atmosphere of Café Bar Moustache. Decorated like a friend’s living room with a swanky bar and great beer, Café Bar Moustache has everything from lunch options and traditional fare by day to local brews and a cozy ambiance by night.

Non-beer drinkers should check out the more centrally located option, M + M Bar, for a wide variety of beverages. Sip mai tais and margaritas before heading out on the town, hopping from place to place as you will have plenty of fun options within walking distance.

If you’re looking for something clubby with blaring house music, Dachsbau should be on your list. Just across the way from Café Bar Moustache, Dachsbau is known for loud music, DJs, a crowded bar and late-night fun.

For something lowkey with food, drinks and a unique ambiance, head to Elferhaus. This bar and restaurant is a fun setting along the Inn River, but close to other bars and local hideouts, ideal for burgers and beer in a historic district with uniquely Austrian architecture.
