Boston’s Hotel Commonwealth completed the final phase of its $50 million renovation, nearly doubling the number of guestrooms and event space. The new wing, extending from the building through an enclosed footbridge, overlooks Boston’s iconic Fenway Park. For baseball enthusiasts visiting Boston, there’s no better hotel option.
The décor is a modern interpretation on classic patterns such as houndstooth, herringbone and plaid. The 96 new guestrooms feature custom furniture, industrial-inspired lighting and modern bathrooms with walk-in showers. Fenway rooms overlook the famous ballpark. Each room features a Google Nexus tablet “virtual concierge.” From the tablet, guests can access amenities, order room service, make appointments and more.
The Fenway Park suite boasts original ballpark seats on its walk-out terrace and is chockfull of priceless Boston Red Sox memorabilia.
The new 6,000-square-foot meeting and event space also overlooks Fenway Park with two-story, floor-to-ceiling windows. A 3,200-square-foot grand ballroom can sit up to 250 guests. The state-of-the-art boardroom is perfect for executive meetings and private dinners.
Hotel Commonwealth opened in 2003 with 149 luxury guestrooms. The official hotel of the Boston Red Sox has won numerous accolades since its opening, and enjoys an enviable Kenmore Square location.
