Hotel

An award-winning hotel in Atlantic Beach, Fla., One Ocean Resort & Spa is a relaxing and luxurious getaway that’s worlds apart from the crowded beaches in the neighboring city of Jacksonville.

As soon as you drive up to the resort, the great service begins as your car door is opened and both your luggage and car are whisked away. The resort offers excellent and personalized service and the valets will know your name by the second day of your stay. The marble entrance with its large staircase and fountain are impressive, and you may see couples having wedding portraits done in the lobby before their ceremony on the resort’s private beach.

The staircase leads up to the second floor and the main elevators, where you’ll pass the resort’s spa, with its large windows positioned just so you can see a wide expanse of ocean, but none of the beachgoers below. The spa offers an extensive variety of services for both men and women, and they also offer seasonal and wedding packages.

Upon arriving at your room, you’ll find that the fridge and collection of free drinks and snacks have been customized according to your tastes. The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated and there was an obvious effort to make the room as much of a retreat as the hotel itself. However, if you feel the need to venture outside, you can visit the hotel’s Azurea restaurant boasting locally inspired flavors and views of the ocean, as well as a veranda lounge for signature drinks and cigars.

One Ocean Resort & Spa is both child- and pet-friendly, but it’s easy to forget that either are there, as the hotel remains quiet through the day and is always spotlessly clean. They offer a variety of resort packages, specifically tailored to everyone from golfers to food connoisseurs.
