Starting May 1, Alaska Airlines is offering complimentary tickets for your new drinking buddies from Oregon.
The Oregon Wines Fly Free program gives anyone part of the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan the chance to check a case of six or 12 wine bottles for free on your next flight out of Eugene, Medford or Portland, Ore., or Walla Walla, Wash.
More than 300 wineries around Oregon are participating, and you can find the full list at oregonwine.org. As an added bonus for being a member of the Mileage Plan, if you show your fancy in-bound boarding pass at any of these locales, you can enjoy a complimentary tasting. So many sentences with both “free” and “wine” in them!
To help you narrow down where to go and what to drink, here are a few noteworthy wineries worth the time to take advantage of this sweet deal:
Volcano Vineyards: volvanovineyards.com
