The speed at which game-changing advancements in technology are produced can give a person whiplash. Many millennials will remember growing up without Internet or cell phones while others have never known life without them. The fact that one generation witnessed two innovative ideas be introduced, evolve and combine into a technology many people can’t live without is pretty impressive.
With that said, some good-old technology standbys stood the test of time despite the ever-changing tech environment. Crosley has been in the home appliance game since the 1920s making radios, refrigerators, portable televisions and vintage-inspired turntables in the 1980s.
The retro-made-modern concept of the Crosley turntable has been successful not only through the great style of the machine, but also the response of the music industry. As old vinyl albums at flea markets find homes, new albums are often released on vinyl as well.
Crosley record players are one of the many brands still out there, but the only one that comes to mind in affordability and authenticity. Many of the turntable machines have an MP3 plug-in as well, so music lovers don’t have to go out and repurchase every album they own again, on vinyl.
The turntables range from basic to high-end radio pieces for $79.95 to $399.95. Crosley records can also be found on Amazon in a variety of colors and styles.
