Seattle’s boutique Hotel Andra is a stylish, comfortable and convenient base for your next trip to the Emerald City.

Located downtown, the luxury property is within easy reach of top attractions like the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. The hotel’s style skews Scandinavian, but there are Northwestern touches that help it avoid being arrestingly modern. Thus, instead of feeling cold and impersonal, the hotel exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

With just 119 guestrooms, the hotel’s small size contributes to its appeal Slamming doors and flushing toilets won’t wake you up; instead, you’ll feel as though you’re tucked away comfortably, far away from other people.

The best hotels offer a space for relaxing outside of your hotel room, and Hotel Andra succeeds here as well. The so-called Living Room is an attractive, welcoming spot to enjoy a book or catch up with friends by the fire. A loft above the space is ideal for more intimate socializing or even to hold a casual meeting.

Hotel Andra scores on a few other details that may seem minor but contribute to the value: The check-out time is a generous noon, so you won’t feel rushed in leaving. And the hotel is pet friendly, a rarity, especially among downtown hotels.

Don’t forget to visit the building’s restaurant, Lola, an excellent pick from restaurateur Tom Douglas; the restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service.
