Reviews / Restaurant

I’ll be the first to admit, I didn’t want to sit down and eat once I entered Los Milagros one recent afternoon. But given outside circumstances, this would have to do. The fact I could see a bar across the room from the entrance made it easy to sit at the bar and roll the dice.

Cold beer and tequila always go a long ways with me, even if I wasn’t in a hurry to open the menu in what still looked to me like a tourist trap. That feeling subsided quickly with both the delivery of drinks and the live music, omnipresent in Los Milagros. The brilliant service staff could be heard quickly switching gears to accommodate those speaking both English and Spanish, delivering both menus and its delicious offerings.

The fajitas proffered by Los Milagros sizzle and excite, while the stone bowl dishes that arrive boiling and stuffed with shellfish and other ocean delights tableside are no joke and packed with both crowd-pleasing showmanship and flavor. For a restaurant on a well-trafficked street and often hosting large groups, the staff never forgets there are those that prefer to eat at the bar or simply get in from the heat and endeavor to have a romantic lunch.

The menu is extensive and nothing should be ignored. It’s well priced and just downright good. But, the walls add to the charm of Los Milagros as they are packed with nichos. Nichos are delightfully humorous window boxes and a Los Milagros visit should see you leaving with a few to adorn your own walls.
