Salon de Chocolate in Quito, Ecuador

The annual event is a derivative of the French celebration due to the historical prevalence of France’s influence in the region after colonization. Salon de Chocolate is held in Quito at the Catholic University and includes numerous competitions, presentations and workshops that help teach visitors the ins and outs of chocolate production in Ecuador and the importance of flavored cocoa beans to the economy.
