Built on the principle of travel as a force for positive change, the brand partners with local and global organizations on its sustainability and community empowerment programs. Surfrider Foundation recognized SCP Hotels as part of its Ocean Friendly Hotels program thanks to the brand’s commitment to reducing plastic waste and protecting ocean health.
Key milestones achieved in the past two years include:
- Net annual carbon reduction of more than 1 million pounds of CO2e absorbed
- More than 310,000 trees planted globally through a One Tree Planted partnership
- Collaboration with Hawai’i Wildlife Fund and Pristine Makai on the removal of more than 73,000 pounds of waste from Hawai’i’s coastlines
- More than 300,000 mental health tools provided to adolescents via WE
