Trends / Top Trends

Spending time in the outdoors is a major draw for adventure travelers as it provides an opportunity to “rough it” and be one with nature. Some travelers may be enticed by this concept in theory, but also may find more comfort in having the small luxuries of modern-day living. For this reason, Tentr arrived on the travel stage.

Luxury camping (or “glamping”) is a travel trend that involves spending the night outdoors while having access to modern amenities like running water, electricity and perishable food. Tentr serves travelers who fall under this trend by advertising fully equipped campsites that offer all the necessary supplies, and the only thing travelers need to do is show up.

Tentr campsites include a 10-foot-by-12-foot tent, an inflatable queen-sized cot, two Adirondack chairs, various toilet amenities, a “sun shower” (a bag of water heated by the sun for hot showers), a fire pit and a grill, as well as a few other outdoor necessities.

Each tent set-up is located in a peaceful setting, away from other campers and noise from nearby towns, thus contributing to the serene aspect of an authentic camping experience. Tentr also offers excursions and activities that campers can take part in during the day.

Currently, Tentr is only available in New York State, but the service plans to expand to New England and the Mid-Atlantic in the near future.
