Black Friday is the perfect time to go gift shopping, or just brave the crowds for the next best electronic purchase. However, have you thought about shopping for your travel needs during this upcoming holiday season?
If you know where to look, and you’re flexible on your travel dates and destinations (and who isn’t, when it’s a great deal?), you can get some amazing prices that will leave all your friends wondering just how you could afford your awesome 2018 vacation.
One place to look? Stay tuned to DealNews.com — the site frequently posts on everything deals, obviously, but the experts have a few more tips up their sleeves for Black Friday shopping. Their predictions for this year? You can get round-trip flights to Europe starting at $200, and round-trip flights to Asia starting at $500. Then, get there and stay at Starwood and Hyatt hotels for as much as 60 percent off.
Last year, Alaska Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest and JetBlue all offered round-trip domestic flights for less than $100. However, for international deals this year, DealNews says the best are going to come from the international carriers — particularly Emirates, Norwegian and WOW air.
DealNews also suggests you look at Expedia and other similar sites for Black Friday deals. All-inclusive resorts generally run sales as well, if you have a certain destination in mind.
But the one thing you probably won’t be able to find a deal on? Car rentals.
Not thinking you have the cash to splurge this Black Friday? Maybe go for something a little more affordable, but still travel-related. Macy’s posted its Black Friday deals for luggage and you can get great offers, with top brands like Samsonite and Travelpro going for more than half off.
