For girls with curly hair, going abroad can be a pain if your favorite, Holy Grail product is only available in your home country. Especially on vacation, it can be annoying if your hair isn’t photo-ready at all times. However, there are some brands that are almost everywhere and, while they might not be exactly what you’re hoping for, they can get the job done.

Always look for products with natural ingredients. These tend not to strip the hair of essential oils. If you have to choose a hair product in a language you don’t understand, pick one with a picture of an ingredient you recognize. Also, Garnier is available in many international stores and its Whole Blends line has great products for curly hair.

Herbal Essences is available internationally as well and its Hello Hydration conditioner is perfect for curly hair. This conditioner is super moisturizing and leaves your tresses feeling refreshed.

Other than trying to find recognizable brands, another strategy would be to scour YouTube for curly-haired people living in the country you’re visiting. Use their hair recommendations and hope for the best. If you truly can’t live without your favorite hair products, buy travel-sized containers and fill them with your favorites. For short trips or vacations, this should keep you covered.
