Tour company MIR Corporation announced an epic new journey, Silk Road Odyssey: Caravan Across Uzbekistan. The 15-day tour explores renowned Silk Road sanctuaries throughout Uzbekistan. The tour will run Sept. 8–22.
For the first four days of the tour, guests visit the Fergana Valley. The area boasts cotton fields, melon plantations and ancient villages known for silk production. Days five–seven move to Samarkand. Here, guests visit UNESCO sites and other famous landmarks. Spend day eight in the vast Kyzyl Kum Desert. The red sands protect remnants of an ancient well system. Guests will spend the night here in a yurt camp under the stars. The rest of the tour travels through Bukhara, Khiva, Nukus and Tashkent. Experience museums, cultural performances, mosques and tours of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Pricing starts at $4,495. The tour includes shared hotel and camping accommodations, 15 breakfasts, 12 lunches, 12 dinners, arrival/departure airport transfers, private transportation throughout the itinerary stops, bottled water at meals, guided sightseeing tours, entrance fees, special events and performances, a dedicated MIR tour manager and gratuities to local guides.
