Six Senses Crans-Montana recently launched a new sustainability initiative in partnership with a local Social Enterprise Association, Satellite. Satellite is a non-profit organization in Sierre, Switzerland, that aims to work toward positive environmental and social impact in the region.
The two look to bring Alpine heritage to life while caring for the environment.

In the collaboration with Satellite and presided by the organization’s Nicolas Lafontaine, the resort welcomed a flock of sheep to serve as natural “lawnmowers,” grazing meadows and replacing the need for gas-powered equipment. The traditional practice reduces emissions, enriches the soil and supports local biodiversity.
It also offers a way for travelers of all ages to connect with nature while visiting the resort, which remains committed to mindful living and sustainable practices. Guests can take guided tours and play with, pet and feed the sheep, and learn about their natural behavior, creating an especially memorable and educational touchpoint for younger visitors.
This initiative blends traditional Alpine farming methods and Six Senses’ ethos of sustainability to offer an authentic sense of place that celebrates the Swiss Alps.
Six Senses Crans-Montana sits close to the center of the stylish Swiss resort area and boasts views toward both the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, offering a ski-in, ski-out hideaway for winter sports and a golf haven in the summer.
