The product everyone is saying will make the user feel like Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man) are SpaceGlasses by Meta.
With 15 times the screen area of Google Glass, the gadget is a flashy way to carry all applications around hands-free. SpaceGlasses are equipped with 3D sound, mini HD cameras and, most impressively, a 3D/HD display that creates a hologram in front of the user’s eyes that can be manipulated by hand.
Essentially, the user’s phone, laptop, etc. are put into the field of view to be operated as a holographic image. Other objects can be created in real time at the user’s fingertips with the option to send the creation to a 3D printer to make it come to life. Literally anything can be created, from flower pots to a chess set. With everything in the environment interactive and more than 500 applications said to be in production for the device, the possibilities are limitless.
The field of view is 40 degrees, with a 1280 by 720 pixel display, paired with WiFi capabilities, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 3.0.
This magnificent product, started from a Kickstarter campaign, is available for $667 for the developer edition, and $3,650 for the Pro version. Orders made immediately are likely to ship in January 2015.
