Trends / Food & Drink

Winter is over, despite the snow that might still be on the ground. This time of year signals an opportunity to get out of nesting mode and back into the world that surrounds you. You may want to celebrate this occasion with some spirits, or, if there really is still snow on the ground, some liquid courage to get you going. If you worry there are not enough options for spring, think again. There is no shortage of possible drinks for this new era of sitting outdoors and actually getting some vitamin D.

Whether you are a fan of sweet or bitter flavors or something muddled and in the middle, there is definitely something for everyone. If you are preparing cocktails for a group, try making tequila-thyme lemonade. If tequila has betrayed you one too many times, you can swap it out for vodka. This drink is light and can be prepared in a pitcher. It is a crowd pleaser on a warm day.

For a less sweet option, try a Campari and fennel cocktail. This is something best saved for someone yearning for some elegant bitterness. These spirits will help you believe the cold is officially gone for good.
