There are lots of tools out there that help you take underwater photos, and lots of cases that protect your phone from moisture. The Swimcell case does both, and it’s easy to use and stylish.

The case is a fairly straightforward product, but it works incredibly well. It’s basically a pocket with a clear window that allows you to see your phone screen as well as free the camera lens on the other side. There are two locking dials at the top that close the pocket and secure the phone — or other electronic device like car keys — inside while managing to not restrict access.

The cases fit most styles and sizes of smartphones; there are larger cases for tablets. Even some small point-and-shoot cameras can fit inside.

The pouch usually floats in water, so in addition to being waterproof, it won’t sink if you drop it. The instructions recommend testing this on your particular device and adding a float if necessary.

The case has been tested in 10 meters of water, plenty deep enough for casual use. Any deeper and you’ll likely need something more suited to dealing with a high level of water pressure.

The case comes with a neck/shoulder strap and is available in a variety of colors.
