Tips / Travel

Everyone has a special place or 10 on their bucket list for where they want to travel before they die. It can be frustrating trying to decide the best places to see, especially when you’re low on resources or time. Here are some tips to help you craft the bucket list of your dreams.

This List is About You

The bucket list is for you and about the places you want to see, not what others think you should see. If seeing the Eiffel Tower isn’t your thing, that’s fine. Figure out the types of sites you’d like to see, whether they’re manmade or natural wonders, and craft a list that revolves around them.

Space Them Out

Looking forward to your next adventure is one of the best parts of having a list. There’s no need to do them all in one trip, unless you’re running low on time. Space them out so you have something to look forward to after each trip ends.

Rank Them

It’d be wonderful to have all the time in the world to travel, but that’s not always our reality. Rank your bucket list from places you’d most like to see to the least. Start at the top and work your way down. Some people believe in saving the best for last, but we say forget that. Who says you’re going to be around until you make it to the end?

Alter Your List as You Go

Some trips can be a bit of a let down, so don’t be afraid to change your list during your travels. If you visit one destination that disappoints, and you have a similar one still on your list, it’s okay to scratch that off in place of something that might be more exciting.

Don’t Hold Back

Risk only makes life more exciting. If you’ve always wanted to go someplace but it seemed too crazy to actually do, put it on your list anyway. You want to backpack your way across Asia? We say go for it — you only live once!
