Even though Boston’s foodie scene is erupting, no diner will be left behind. These five restaurants are all about the fresh ingredients and bold flavors veggie-lovers crave.

Grasshopper Restaurant

While they serve a small menu of vegetarian lunch options, they’re remembered for an exotic array of pure fruit and vegetable juices, organic cleanses and power smoothies. Try the Survival Kit, a blend of pink pitaya, strawberry, cucumber, pineapple, avocado, mango and coconut water.

Root

Root’s inspired foods and juices are all about local, farm-fresh, simple flavors. Perusing their brunch menu is going to become your new Sunday morning tradition. Try out their cornbread waffles topped with fresh peach puree, paired with basil lemonade.

Walnut Grille

Go for all the upscale, high-class charm of a modern steakhouse, without the steak. The chefs here really put out all the stops when it comes to bold flavor combinations. You won’t want to miss the vegan “chicken” piccata, made with breaded and seared soy, white wine, capers, mushrooms, spinach and fingerling potatoes.
