Rocky Run in Philadelphia, Pa.

Runners took on the Rocky Run in Philadelphia, Pa., on Nov. 11. The race began at the famous steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art where runners took pictures with the Rocky Statue. Fall weather in Philadelphia is ideal for running while athletes can enjoy the beautiful views along the way. Choose from the 5K or 10-mile race, or opt for the Italian Stallion Challenge and run both, totaling 13.1 miles.

Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon in Orlando, Fla.

Make it a party weekend during the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon. Race through Disney’s theme parks for a good cause, as proceeds benefit a long list of charities. Enjoy the exclusive post-race party with guests and sample Epcot’s wine and cuisine from around the world.

Chocoholic Frolic in Dallas, Texas

Chocolate lovers and runners unite for the Chocoholic Frolic Dec. 3 in Dallas, Texas. The 5K and 10K race offers chocolate stops along the way for runners needing a quick sugar rush. Participants receive a Storm Creek jacket and Chocoholic Frolic Finishers Bar at the end of the race.

The Lantern Run

Run through the night on Dec. 31, in a Lantern Run race. Courses are set through Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Seattle and Atlanta — just to name a few. Register for the 5K, 10K or half-marathon through the specifically designed course lit entirely with lanterns. The route is sent to runners two weeks before the race, so each year and location is a surprise.

Thanksgiving Day Run

You can easily find a Thanksgiving Day run in your area, but opt for one for a good cause. The Thanksgiving Day MS Run supports MS research and strives for world cures for multiple sclerosis. Located in Wilmington, Del., runners race through 5K or 10K courses all for a good cause and, of course, prizes.
