New Orleans has a reputation as a party city. Be a savvy drinker and take advantage of the city’s many happy hour specials during the week and on the weekends.

Samuel’s Blind Pelican

Located outside of the crowded French Quarter in the Lower Garden District, Samuel’s Blind Pelican offers one of the city’s best oyster happy hours. Raw oysters cost $3 for a dozen and the chargrilled variety for $7.50 per dozen. You must purchase a drink to take advantage of the oyster deal. Mixed well drinks are two for the price of one. The special runs 4–8 p.m. daily.

Lüke

Iconic New Orleans Chef John Besh offers guests French and German fare at his brasserie Lüke in the Central Business District. The daily happy hour runs 3–6 p.m. and includes a selection of half-price wines by the glass, draft beer, select liquors and 75-cent oysters.
