Top 5 / North America

While ice cream should be enjoyed year-round, there’s something special about savoring a cone of the cold confection on a hot summer day down the shore. Don’t miss out on indulging in a cool scoop of ice cream during your visit to the New Jersey shore and stop by one of these locations.

Eddie Confetti’s Ice Cream

Located on the Asbury Park Boardwalk, Eddie Confetti’s Ice Cream offers unique ice cream flavors and other confections including vegan options. Sample flavors like monster mint, red velvet, peanut butter caramel cookie dough, chocolate banana and coffee mud pie.

Hoffman’s Ice Cream & Yogurt

Hoffman’s opened in Point Pleasant in 1955 and has since opened three additional locations up and down the New Jersey coastline. The iconic ice cream shop offers more than 40 flavors of hard ice cream from the classic (vanilla) to the unusual (Jersey monkey).

Springer’s

Located in Stone Harbor in southern New Jersey, Springer’s draws big crowds, with the line often winding down the block. Enjoy one of the unique flavors of hard ice cream including Prohibition Tradition or Emotionally Nuts.

Strollo’s Italian Ice

The family-owned seasonal shop in Belmar, N.J., serves creamy Italian ice and custard in a variety of flavors. Combine several flavors or add toppings to customize your treat.

Vanilla Bean Creamery

With its unassuming roadside location, Vanilla Bean Creamery is a hidden gem in Cape May. The shop offers simple, flavorful hard ice cream worth the drive to Cape May.

Honorable mention: Kohr Brother’s Frozen Custard is a New Jersey shore staple, serving tasty, classic frozen custard. Due to its popularity, the shop has expanded to Delaware, Maryland and Virginia, in addition to its multiple New Jersey locations.
