Komodo Island

The famous home of the Komodo dragon lies in Indonesia. It’s a beautiful island full of one of the most rare creatures on Earth, thought to exist since the dinosaurs walked the planet. They’re not exactly the friendliest of creatures, but there are safe spots on the island from which you can view them.

Kelimutu Lake

Kelimutu Lake is unique in that it’s actually three separate pools of water with three different colors! Tiwu Ata Polo is the red lake, Tiwu Nua Kooh Fai the green and Tiwu Ata Mbupu the blue. From above it’s a spectacular sight to see.

Jayawijaya Mountain

There are plenty of mountains to explore in the world, but only a handful of them stay covered in snow all year long. Even stranger is one that lies on a tropical island covered in snow. It’s beloved by hikers and is one of the most beautiful spots in the country.

Cape Papuma

Cape Papuma is one of the most natural and least-touched beaches in the entire world. The sands are still pure white and the coral rocks make for a splendid sight if you’re lucky enough to lay eyes on it.

Raja Ampat

Raja Ampat is a bit hard to get to as it’s completely underwater. It’s a bio-system located off the coast of Papua New Guinea and is home to some of Indonesia’s most breathtaking underwater coral and fish. It’s a diver’s heaven.
