Top 5 / North America

Bright lights, cocktails and an all-night party — that perfectly sums up New Year’s Eve. Where do you want to be when the clock strikes midnight? Now, this may not seem like a big deal to some, but to many, this night can set the tone for the rest of 2017, good or bad.

Finding a great place to ring in the New Year is important, whether it is finding the right couch to snuggle up on with a fuzzy blanket watching the ball drop, spending the night with 500 of your closest friends at a super posh night club in Miami or celebrating with a low-key evening spent with friends and family.

We’ve compiled a list of the top five most incredible parties you should attend if you want to ensure you have fun this New Year’s Eve.

Output

Don’t drop the ball on the city whose favorite holiday is New Year’s Eve. While Times Square is probably the first event to come to mind when mentioning New York City and New Year’s, it is not the only party. Celebrate the new year at Output with a body-breaking, mind-melting 22 hours spent on the dance floor. Ring in 2017 with DJ sets of perk, high-throttle electro. Tickets are $70.

The Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in the party place itself: Miami. The Fontainebleau Miami Beach invites you to ring in 2017 with Justin Bieber, Skrillex and Marshmello poolside at the premier nightclub in the city. Bieber kicks off the night with a performance poolside at the hotel and then continues with Skrillex spinning a set at the world-famous LIV Nightclub inside the hotel and ends with Marshmello performing at Story Nightclub. These three unforgettable performances will provide guests with a NYE to remember. Ticket prices start at $500 for one general admission ticket and range up to $50,000 for a stage-side private space for 25 guests. Packages include premium open bar from 9 p.m. until midnight.

Charleston

Charleston has been ranked as a city to ring in the New Year with peace and quiet. Book a stay at the Belmond and enjoy a quaint dinner at Magnolias.

Orlando

If you’re stuck in the middle between a large party and a small evening, Orlando is the place to be. Visit the Disney World theme park still decked out in holiday lights or check out Universal Studios and the City Walk. The Hard Rock Hotel has a holiday buffet and lobby party with a live stream of Times Square, a DJ spinning holiday songs, Universal Orlando characters, a midnight toast and more. Tickets for the lobby party are $64 for adults and $38 for children ages 3–9. The Loews Portofino Bay Hotel waves bye to 2016 on the Harbor Piazza. Entertainment includes a live DJ, holiday activities and crafts area, a face painter, balloonist, party favors and a midnight sparkling wine toast. Tickets for the Loews party are $150 for adults and $35 for children ages 3–9.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas, the No. 1 party city for wild weekends is even crazier on New Year’s Eve — but that’s expected. Whenever the party ends, whether that’s New Year’s Day at 5 p.m. or Jan. 2, 2017, have your best hangover remedy ready. This is not the place for those searching for peace and quiet. The city is booming with artists from French Montana at TAO Nightclub to T-Pain at Lavo Nightclub, Steve Aoki at the Aria Hotel or Sting at The Cosmopolitan. Wild night or not, it’s soon to be a new year, time to start fresh.
